Scope: these terms apply to B2B engagements with Yorkshire3D Limited. Consumer purchases via shop.yorkshire3d.co.uk are governed by separate consumer terms.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to business-to-business engagements between Yorkshire3D Limited (“Yorkshire3D”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and the client, customer, or prospective customer (“you”, “Client”) who engages us for 3D printing, manufacturing, design, or related services through yorkshire3d.co.uk.
Yorkshire3D Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 15466679, with its registered office at 53 Woodlea Avenue, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD3 4EF, United Kingdom.
Consumer purchases made through our shop subdomain at shop.yorkshire3d.co.uk are governed by separate consumer terms published on that site and not by this notice.
2. Quotes and quote validity
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless we state a different period in writing. Quotes are based on the specifications and files supplied at the time of enquiry. We may revise a quote if those specifications change or if information supplied proves to be inaccurate.
3. Order acceptance
An order is accepted only when we issue a written confirmation, whether by email or order acknowledgement. Submitting an enquiry, receiving a quote, or providing files does not by itself create a binding order. We may decline to accept an order at our discretion.
4. Pricing, VAT, and payment
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP). VAT, where applicable, will be shown as a separate line item on quotes and invoices.
Standard payment terms are payment in advance for new clients and bespoke work. For established business accounts, alternative terms (for example Net 30) may be agreed in writing on a per-account basis. Late payments may attract interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Production and lead times
Indicative lead times are confirmed at quote stage and are subject to our production capacity at the point of order acceptance. We will keep you informed of any material change to agreed timings. Time is not of the essence unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
6. Materials, finish, and tolerances
3D printed parts are manufactured to commercial tolerances and may show batch-to-batch variation in colour, finish, and surface detail within accepted norms for the process and material used. Where a specific tolerance, finish, or colour match is critical, this must be agreed in writing as part of the order. Physical samples are available on request.
7. Intellectual property
By supplying files, artwork, or designs to us, you warrant that you own or have the right to use them, and that production by Yorkshire3D will not infringe any third-party intellectual property right. You indemnify us against any loss arising from a breach of this warranty.
For design or prototyping services, ownership of design deliverables is transferred in accordance with the specific agreement covering that engagement. Until full payment is received, all rights in deliverables remain with Yorkshire3D Limited.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel an order before production begins without charge. Once bespoke or made-to-order production has commenced, the order is non-cancellable and non-refundable except where the goods are defective or do not conform to the agreed specification.
9. Defects and remedies
Please inspect goods promptly on receipt. Any defect or non-conformity must be notified in writing to hello@yorkshire3d.co.uk within 14 days of delivery, with photographs and a description of the issue. Where we accept a claim, our remedy will be, at our option: reprint of the affected items, a refund, or a credit against future orders.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yorkshire3D's total liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or business opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply chain failures, equipment failure, fire, flood, industrial action, pandemic, or government restrictions. Where such an event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate the affected order, with payment due only for work already completed.
12. Data protection
Personal data exchanged in the course of an engagement is processed in line with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any order.
